Quilt Along: Block 14

Welcome to Block 14 of our Quilt Along!! There are printable instructions and a video tutorial! Block 14 is a Wyoming Valley block.

Instructions

- You will need 5 colors for this block. Cut them out as per below.
- A- cut (1) 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ square
- B- cut (9) 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ square
- D- cut (8) 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ square
- E-cut (4) 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ square and cut (8) 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ square
- F-cut (6) 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ square
2. Place the following pairs right sides together and draw a diagonal line point to point. Sew on either side of the line. Cut up your line to create 2 squares.
- 1 A+D
- 1 B+D
- 8 B+E
- 8 B+F
- 8 D+E
- 4 D+F

2. You should have 32 sewn squares and (4) E full color squares.
3. We are going to create 3 different squares as following.
- 4 squares using E+(2)DE+FD. Each square needs a different rotation.
- 4 squares using (2)BE+(2)BF
- 1 square using (2)DB+(2)AD

4. Layout your squares as above to create the pattern.

5. Sew all your squares together just as in the previous blocks. Create each row and then sew your rows together!
