- Backing: Natural Crosses – Tea Dyed
- Binding: Natural Crosses – Black
- Batting: 19″ x 21″
Cutting Instructions
From Fabric A cut:
(3) 1″xWOF strips. Sub cut:
(9) 1″ x 7 1/2″ rectangles
(1) 1″ x 17 1/2″ rectangles
(1) 1 3/4″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(2) 1 3/4″ x 17 1/2″ rectangles
(2) 4 1/2″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(1) 4 1/2″ x 17 1/2″ rectangle
(2) 4 1/2″ x 10″ rectangles
(2) 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ rectangles
(2) 4 1/2″ x 1″ rectangles
(1) 5″xWOF strips. Sub cut:
(6) 5″ x 5: squares
From Fabric B, C & D cut:
(1) 1 1/4″xWOF strips. Sub cut:
(4) 1 1/4″ x 7 1/2″ rectangles
Flying Geese Assembly
Line up (3) 1″ x 7 1/2″ fabric A rectangles and (4) 1 1/4″ x 7 1/2″ fabric B rectangles.
Sew together and trim to 4 1/2″ x 7 1/2″
Take (2) fabric A 5″ x 5″ squares ad fold in half wrong sides together. Press to create a crease.
Line (1) 5″ x 5″ square up with the 4 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ rectangle. The crease should be going from the bottom corner to the top middle of the rectangle.
Stitch along the crease line, trim excess fabric and press open.
Take (1) 5″ x 5″ square and repeat the previous steps on the opposite end of the 4 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ rectangle.
Repeat the above steps for a total of:
(1)AB, (1)AC, (1)AD
Row Assembly
Quilt Assembly
Use quilt layout for row location. Join rows to complete the quilt top.
Finishing
- Layer the backing, batting and quilt top and baste using ODIF 505 spray.
- Quilt as desired!
- Bind the quilt using natural crosses in black.
