This beginner pattern is perfect to showcase that fabric you’ve been too worried to cut into, we get it! It’s so cute you don’t wanna waste it on any old project.
We felt the same way about the Signs From Above collection. So we designed a quilt that will give each fabric it’s time to shine. A neutral background ensures those beauties pop!

Seam allowances is 1/4” unless otherwise stated

Cutting Instructions
Please Note: All strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvedge to selvedge unless otherwise noted.
From Fabric A cut:
(16) 31/2” x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(4) 351/4” x 31/2” strips
(8) 321/2” x 31/2” strips
(8) 171/2” x 31/2” strips
(3) 7″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(35) 21/2” x 7″ strips
From Fabric B, C, F & G cut:
(1) 7″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(6) 7″ x 7″ squares
From Fabric D & E cut:
(2) 7″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(9) 7″ x 7″ squares
Strips
1. Sew (1) A 321/2” x 31/2” strip to (1) A 171/2” x 31/2” strip.
Repeat for all remaining A 321/2” x 31/2” & A 171/2” x 31/2” to make (8) 491/2” x 31/2” strips.
2. Sew (1) A 351/4” x 31/2” strip to (1) A 351/4” x 31/2” strip.
Repeat for all remaining A 351/4” x 31/2” to make (2) 70″ x 31/2” strips.
Rows
Referring to Row 1 – 3 for fabric identification, sew the 7″ x 7″ squares and A 21/2” x 7″ strips together until you have made: *
*If using a directional fabric make (2) of Row 1 and (1) of Row 2 backwards.
Quilt Layout
- Use Quilt Layout for block location.
- Sew blocks and rows together to create quilt top.
- Layer and quilt as desired
- Bind as desired.
