Wine Bottle Bag
It’s time for some summer fun! We created this quick and simple wine bottle bag using our awesome abstract craft prints collection! It’s oh so summery and perfect for gifting to friends and family or keeping for yourself.
Materials
- Craft Abstracts Fashion Fabric – 0.5m
- Lurex Cotton Twill Tape – 0.4m

Cutting Instructions
Please note: All strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvedge to selvedge unless otherwise noted.
From Craft Abstracts cut:
A (1) 11 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ rectangle
B (1) 9″ x 3 3/4″ rectangle
C (1) 4 1/2″ circle. Pattern provided above.
Bag Assembly
Seam Allowance: 1/4″
With A wrong side up, measure 2 1/4″ down from the top and clip in 1/4″ on either side.
Fold clipped sides in, press and stitch to secure.
Fold top edge down 1/4″, press and stitch to secure
Fold flap down 2″ to meet clipped edge and stitch across to create a tube.
Fold in half right sides together and stitch down edge, make sure not to stitch over the tube.
Pin circle to tube right sides together, stitch to secure. Turn bag right way out.
Fold strap in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.
Open fabric, fold edges into the pressed center line and press.
Fold together and press. Edge stitch along open edge of the strap.
Position strap on the inside edge of the tube seam and stitch to secure. Do not stitch the tube.
Thread ribbon through the tube to finish.
