DIY of the Month: Faux Fur Wrap

Get ready for the cold weather and look fabulous! This is a quick and easy project that will have people asking where you got your shawl from!

Materials

  • 0.4m Quentin Luxury Faux Fur
  • 0.8m Stretch Satin
  • Large Hook and Eye

Finished size – 64″ x 15″

Cutting Instructions

From the faux fur cut:
(1) 65″ x 16″

From the stretch satin cut:
(1) 58″ x 16″
(1) 8″ x 16″

When cutting faux fur always be aware of the nap of the fabric. Mark the nap on the wrong side of your fur before cutting.

Place your faux fur and satin right sides together and pin in place.

Stitch around with 1/2″ seam allowance, leave a 5″ gap to turn right side out.

Turn right way out.

Hand stitch the opening closed.

Try the wrap on and mark where you want the closure to be. We measured in 10″ from either side and attached the hook and eye.

Add a decorative pin or large bow at the closure, as desired!
