- Jelly Roll Strip Flex Foam 2 1/4” wide – 1 package
- Poly-Pellets 2lbs – 1 bag
- Fibre Fill 1 lb – 2 bags
- Scrap Fabric *used to hold poly-pellets – 0.6m
- Applique Arrow – 1
- Large Pearl Head Pins – 1 package

Cutting Instructions
Please note: All strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvedge to selvedge unless otherwise noted.
From Fabric A & B cut:
(7) 9 1/2” x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(32) 9 1/2” x 9 1/2” squares
From Fabric C cut:
C1-(1) 72 1/2” x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(1) 72 1/2” x 52 1/2” rectangle
C2-(2) 20 1/2” x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(2) 20 1/2” x 36 1/4” rectangles
From Fabric D & E cut:
(6) 8 1/2” x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(24) 8 1/2” x 8 1/2” squares – trim to 8 1/2” circles
(12) 2 1/4” x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(12) 2 1/4” x 26 3/4” rectangles
From Fabric F,G,H & I cut:
(1) 8 1/2” x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(5) 8 1/2” x 8 1/2” squares – trim to 8 1/2” circles
Jelly Roll Strip Flex Foam:
(24) 2 1/4” x 26 3/4” rectangles
Scrap Fabric:
(48) 4 1/2” x 4 1/2” squares
Checkerboard Assembly
Sew (4) A & B 8 1/2″ squares together, alternating colors. Repeat for a total of (4) rows.
Lay (8) rows out alternating and sew together to create a checkerboard top
Checker Piece Assembly
Sew (2) 4 1/2” scrap fabric squares together, leaving a 1″ gap. Turn square right way out through gap.
Fill Bag with poly-pellets, roughly 1 handful, and topstitch gap closed to create weighted bags.
Repeat for a total of (24) weighted bags.
Place (1) D 2 1/4” x 26 3/4” rectangle wrong side to right side of (1) Flex Foam 2 1/4” x 26 3/4” rectangle
Fold in half right sides together, and stitch to form a tube
Place (1) D 8 1/2” circle right sides together with the tube. Pin in place and stitch.
Place (1) D 8 1/2” circle right sides together with the other side of the tube. Pin in place and stitch, leaving a 3″ gap. Turn circle right way out through gap.
Insert (1) weighted bag into the gap, stuff the remaining space with fibre fill. Topstitch gap closed. Repeat steps for a total of (12) fabric D & (12) fabric E checker pieces.
Tangled Game Assembly
Sew (2) C2 rectangles together to make (1) 20 1/2” x 72 1/2” rectangles
Sew C1 rectangle to C2 rectangle
Using the layout, applique F,G,H & I 8 1/2” circles to fabric C rectangle
Mark out the middle of all sides of the self mounting board. Join marks to create 4 sections
Using the scraps of F, G, H & I cut out (4) 1″ circles. Glue (1) of each F, G, H & I circle onto each section of the board in an oval.
Place the arrow applique over the centre of the board. Push the large pearl head pin through the arrow and the board. Bend pin flat against the board and secure with hot glue.
*Make sure the point of the pin is well covered.*
Write one of the following per section: Right Hand, Left Hand, Right Foot and Left Foot.
Place checkerboard and tangled game right sides together, stitch around leaving an 8″ gap. Turn right way out through the gap. Topstitch to close.
