Ruffle Tree

Materials

  • Home For the Holidays Quiltland Collection – 0.3m
  • Beacon Craft Glue
  • 1 foam Cone

Cut your fabric into 2″ strips

Place strips right sides together and stitch short ends with 1/4″ seam allowance to make one long strip

Use a gathering stitch along the top of the strip and gather strip. Glue around the foam cone.

Loop Tree

Materials

  • Home For the Holidays Quiltland Collection – 0.5m
  • Beacon Craft Glue
  • 1 foam Cone

Instructions

Cut your fabric into 1″ strips. Cut Strips into 2″ rectangles

Fold one side of the rectangle up so the piece is wrong sides together. Then fold it back down to make a point, finger press.

Use glue on the backside of the point and attach to the bottom of your foam cone. Continue to attach points in a row around the cone then move up to the next row until the whole cone is complete.

Loop Tree

Materials

  • Home For the Holidays Quiltland Collection – 0.5m
  • Beacon Craft Glue
  • 1 foam Cone
  • Optional: Fringe Cutter

Instructions

Cut your fabric into 3 1/2″ strips. Fold strips right sides together

Using a fringe cutter, cut fringes starting from the folded edge and stopping about a 1/2″ from the top

Starting from the base of the foam cone wrap your fringe loops around the cone, gluing in place as you go
