Scrap Rope Rug

Materials

  • 20m of rope cord
  • 2m of fabric

Instructions

Cut your fabric into 2″ strips. You don’t need to connect your strips.

Place your rope on the wrong side of one strip and begin to wrap around the rope.

Fold your end in begin to wrap the cord in a circle. Using the widest zigzag setting on your machine, stitch the rope together, moving in a circle as you go.

When you get near the end of a strip simply overlap a new strip around this one and continue to wrap your rope as you stitch

You will want to keep your rug even with your machine to maintain a flat disc shape. We stacked books next our machine to support it.
