You will also need the Joy Peace Panel in Midnight and 4m of Twisted Cord with Lip in Gold for the edging.
Cutting Instructions
Please note all strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) selvedge to selvedge unless otherwise noted.
From Fabric A Cut:
2 rectangles from the words measuring 22″ x 10″. We chose Joy and Love.
From Fabric B Cut:
(4) 1 1/2″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(4) 24″ x 1 1/2″ rectangles
(4) 12″ x 1 1/2″ rectangles
From Fabric C cut:
(5) 1″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(2) 61 1/2″ x 1″ rectangles
(4) 15″ x 1″ rectangles
From Fabric D cut:
(3) 2″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(2) 6 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles
(1) 10″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(2) 15″ x 10″ rectangles
(1) 12″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(2) 4 1/2″ x 12″ rectangles
(1) 6 1/2″ x 12″ rectangle
*To lengthen your table runner add 2 extra word panels and purchase double the amount of fabric cut the following:
From Fabric A Cut:

From Fabric B Cut:
(8) 1 1/2″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(8) 24″ x 1 1/2″ rectangles
(8) 12″ x 1 1/2″ rectangles
From Fabric C cut:
(10) 1″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(4) 61 1/2″ x 1″ rectangles
(8) 15″ x 1″ rectangles
From Fabric D cut:
(6) 2″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(4) 6 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles
(2) 10″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(4) 15″ x 10″ rectangles
(1) 12″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(4) 4 1/2″ x 12″ rectangles
(2) 6 1/2″ x 12″ rectangle
Table Runner Assembly
- Sew (2) 24″ x 1 1/2″ B and 2 12″ x 11 1/2″ B around (1)A. Miter your corners. Repeat with your other word.
2. Sew (1) 4 1/2″ x 12″ D to (1)AB to (1) 6 1/2″ x 12″D to (1)AB to (1) 4 1/2″ x 12″D. This is the front of the table runner.
3. Sew (1) 61 1/2″ x 1″ C to (1) 61 1/2″ D to Runner Front to (1) 61 1/2″ x 2″ D to (1) 61 1/2″ x 1″ C.
4. Mark the middle of (1) 15″ x 10″ D and draw to the opposite corners. Cut along these lines to create a triangle. Sew (2) 15″ x 1″ C to either edge of your triangle, miter the point. Repeat for (2) units total.
5. Sew your triangles to each side of the runner. Use the twisted cord with lip to edge. You can also back, quilt and bind this runner if desired.
