Peace & Goodwill Stocking and Garland

The stockings were hung by the fire with care! This stocking panel from the Peace & Goodwill fabric collection is delightfully stunning! Add a strip of faux fur to glam up your stocking. Don’t forget the matching strip of garland to lay along the mantle.

Fabric A

Stocking Panel – 1 Panel makes 2 stockings

Fabric B

Snowflake Light Blue – 0.5m

  • 0.5m Faux Fur Trim
  • 0.5m Batting

Cutting Instructions

Please note: All strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvedge to selvedge unless otherwise noted.

From Fabric A cut:
(4) Stockings

From Fabric B cut:
(4) stockings
(2) 1″ x 5″ rectangles

From the Faux Fur Trim cut:
(2) 15 1/2″ rectangles by the width of the trim

Stocking Assembly

Place (1) A on top of your batting. Quilt as desired. Repeat for a total of 4 units.

Place (2) A right sides together and stitch around with 1/4″ seam allowance. Turn right way out and press. Repeat for a total of (2) units.

Repeat above steps for your (4) B stocking pieces. Leave a 4″ gap open at the bottom of your stocking.

Take (1) B rectangle and fold in half right sides together. Stitch down the side to secure. Turn right side out and press. Repeat for a total of (2) units.

Fold your faux fur strip right sides together and stitch the short edge. Turn right way out and pin over stocking. Repeat for a total of (2) units.

Fold your tab in half and pin to the inside of your stocking faux fur. Place your lining and stocking right sides together and stitch around the top. Make sure your tab is facing out. Pull right side out through your 4″ gap and topstitch closed.

Repeat for a total of (2) units.

  • 3m of rope or ribbon
    • **Measure how long you want your garland and adjust measurements as needed.**

Cutting Instructions

Please note: All strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvedge to selvedge unless otherwise noted.

From Fabric A-I cut:
(2) 6″ x WOF strips. Sub cut:
(84) 6″ x 1″ strips

Garland Assembly

Tie a knot in 1 end of your rope.

Take your strips and tie them around the rope.

Push the tied strips towards the knotted end. Repeat above steps until your garland is covered. Tie a knot in the end to finish.
